Poetry Writers Group
Poetry seeks to paint the interior landscape, distilling and illuminating the core essence of its subject in figurative and musical language, in well crafted lines, in an original voice and perspective. The members of Poetry Writers strive to create such poetry and meet once a month for a critique session of their individual poems. These poets also share writing related news and information, including workshop and publication opportunities. Throughout the year and particularly during Poetry Greensboro each April, this group organizes and participates in a number of Poetry, Jazz and Java readings at local coffeehouse venues.
